Some youths in Rivers State have warned Governor Siminalayi Fubara towards recalling the commissioners that resigned from his administration.
In addition they warned the governor towards re-presenting the 2024 finances to the Home of Meeting.
The youths, who protested in massive numbers in Port Harcourt on Friday, mentioned they are going to occupy the Authorities Home if the governor fail to heed the warning.
Arogidigba World Journal reported that Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, on Monday night agreed to finish the political disaster rocking the state.
The settlement was reached after President Bola Tinubu and different stakeholders met with the 2 warring factions.
However political analysts and observers imagine that the settlement brokered by the President is one-sided and favours the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Wike.
Protesting in Port Harcourt on Friday, the Rivers youths urged Fubara to dump the settlement.
“We’re calling on the governor to not recall any Commissioner. Any try and recall any Commissioner, we’ll occupy the Authorities Home,” the protesting youths hammered.
“Nyesom Wike didn’t vote for Sim alone. We additionally voted for Sim. We’ll not enable anyone, anyone all to truncate the desire of Rivers folks.
“So we’re calling on the Governor, don’t be below any strain from anyone. We wish to name on the Governor, don’t return the finances to the Meeting.
“The Rivers State Home of Meeting has just one Speaker recognised by the legislation which is Edison Ehie. And as such, the seats of the 27 lawmakers are vacant. We wish to name on the Governor, we voted for you and you could hearken to us, Tinubu will not be from Rivers State,” a frontrunner of the protesting youths mentioned.
