The body of the wife of Apostle Lawrence Achudume, founder of the Victory Life Bible Church International (VLBC), Reverend Fola Achudume, has been laid to rest.
The remains of the late cleric who passed away on her August 3, 2024 was committed to mother earth on Thursday, in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, after a the two-day burial ceremony attended by the Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, his wife, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun, the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, Christian leaders, eminent Nigerians and VLBC members.
Speaking at the event, Governor Abiodun, represented by his deputy, Mrs Noimot Salako-Oyedele, hailed late Mrs Achudume as a true ambassador of Christ and a champion of women’s empowerment, noting that “her legacy is a beacon of hope and inspiration to us all”.
On his part, Pastor Umo Eno, Governor of Akwa Ibom State, praised her as an “amazon” whose devotion and service had uplifted countless women and youth.
In her remarks, the wife of the Ogun State governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, the Governor’s wife, said Mrs Achudume was a “General in God’s army” whose teachings and contributions would be cherished for generations to come.
In his sermon, Prophet Isa El-Buba, the General Overseer of EL-Buba Outreach Ministries, International, reminded the gathering that life’s journey is fleeting, urging them to embrace righteousness.
Speaking earlier during a Night of Tributes organized by the VLBC church, the Presiding Pastor of Living Spring Chapel International, Femi Emmanuel, said that Reverend Achudume’s transition to eternal glory was a celebration, not a loss.
In her words of praise and admiration, Reverend Funke Adejumo, wife of the General Overseer of Agape Christian Ministries, celebrated the late clergy as a shining example of God’s love and grace.
According to her, late Fola Achudume’s enduring influence has cemented her place as a heroine whose legacy will continue to inspire and uplift people for years to come.
