A political support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state, Aiyedatiwa Partners, has stressed the need to retain the incumbent governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for a better Ondo state.

The group declared that Aiyedatiwa has offered exemplary leadership in the state in a moment of crisis and challenge in the state, saying this stands him out as the best man for the job.

The Deputy Director-General of the group, Honourable Akinwumi Sowore, who made this declaration during a meeting of the group, maintained that there is no need to change Aiyedatiwa in order to continue the good work.

Harping on why Aiyedatiwa should be allowed to continue as the state governor, Sowore said the position of Ondo state governorship is not for inexperienced politicians or persons.

He said the people of the state cannot afford to leave the destiny of Ondo State to people who cannot handle the pressure or who do not have what it takes to take the state to the next level.

He assured the governor of the group’s support, saying the group across the 18 local government areas and 203 political wards in the state will ensure Aiyedatiwa emerges victorious in the party’s primary and the November election.

He emphasised that the primary focus should be on winning both the primary and general elections for the governor.

“Aiyedatiwa Partners has a solid structure across the state; we will mobilise support from unit to ward and local government to ensure not only that you secure the party’s ticket but emerge as the governor.

“We ensure you win the governorship election with a landslide victory in all the local government across the state.”

Speaking, Aiyedatiwa appreciated the leadership and members of the group for their support and promised not to disappoint them if elected as governor.

Aiyedatiwa, who was represented by his deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami, commended the group for the confidence reposed in the governor and encouraged them to give their all to the project.

He also stated that Aiyedatiwa remains the best choice for the governorship seat of Ondo at this particular time.

He highlighted the governor’s sterling qualities of level-headedness, maturity, experience, and exceptional brilliance, which set him apart from numerous aspirants.

Some prominent politicians in attendance included the Secretary of the State Government, Tayo Oluwatuyi; Director-General of Aiyedatiwa Partners, Honourable Ola Oguntimehin; Honourable Akinwumi Sowore; Commissioner for Land and Housing, Honourable Razaq Obe; Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources; Commissioner-nominee, Honourable Adewale Akinlosotu; and leaders of the party in the state
