Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to adopting conventional and non-conventional security agents to bring to an end all forms of insecurity challenges ravaging Niger State for rapid growth and development.
Bago stated this during the traditional mini durbar held at the palace of the Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora, Muhammad Barau Mu’azu II, to mark this year’s Eid el-Fitr celebration in Kontagora.
According to him: “My administration is committed to taking proactive steps by collaborating with conventional and non-conventional security agents to contain banditry and other forms of terrorist activities in the state that have continued to pose a threat to the lives of residents.”
The governor also said plans are ongoing by his administration to carry out renovations and reconstructions of hospitals in Kontagora to ensure better healthcare services for residents of the area.
He added that various measures have been adopted, especially in the area of agriculture, to improve the socio-economic lives of the people.
Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora, Muhammad Barau Mu’azu II, in his remarks, advised the people of his domain to remain law-abiding and continue to live in peace with one another for the growth of the area.
He appreciated the governor’s efforts aimed at developing Kontagora Emirates while also reassuring him of continued support for the growth and development of the state.
