Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi has called for stronger action against his colleague, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, saying it is time to “come hard” on her.
Speaking in an interview with News Central in Abuja on Wednesday, Nwaebonyi accused Akpoti-Uduaghan of making repeated false allegations of sexual harassment.
He referenced her past claim against former presidential aide Reno Omokri, arguing that she had accused Omokri of misconduct at a time when the former presidential aide was in the United States for official duties
According to him, she had a pattern of making such accusations whenever she was provoked.
He further insisted that people like him were raising their voices not just to defend Senate President Godswill Akpabio but to protect those who might become future targets of similar allegations.

He said, “She accused Reno Omokri of sexual harassment during the time of Goodluck Jonathan as president when the young man was already in the United States attending to national issues. But, unlucky for her, she didn’t know that this young man was outside the country. Upon the slightest provocation, she would come up with allegations of sexual harassment.”
“I don’t know what is wrong with this lady. Does she think she’s the most beautiful woman on earth?…In my own assessment, she’s not among the beautiful women in Nigeria. And it is high time we come hard on her, and why people like us are speaking on top of our voices is not just to protect the Senate President but to protect her future victims. Even her present husband, he married her out of things like this. She threatened to sue the man.”
