Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has commended the senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Center, Paul Enenche for apologizing to Miss Vera Anyim, who he (Enenche) accused of lying after testifying about attaining BSc in law.
Arogidigba Global Journal reports that Vera who claimed during a Live Sunday service in Dunamis that she graduated from the National Open University of Nigerian NOUN after ten years, was accused by Pastor Enenche of lying.
A video clip making the rounds on social media revealed how the senior pastor interrupted her testimony, saying she lied by claiming she had a BSc in law.
The internet was on Monday flooded with reactions from concerned Nigerians who asked the pastor to tender an apology to Vera.
The church has since apologized, saying the development was not intentional.
Reacting, Omokri in a post on his Facebook page, commended Enenche for “being man enough to own up to his mistakes and seek reconciliation with his congregant, Miss Vera Anyim, whom he had unintentionally embarrassed in a presumptuous moment of weakness, which can happen to anyone”.
According to Reno, the pastor’s choice of words in his apology to Anyim also demonstrated a Christlike character, stressing that it was a very redemptive teachable moment.
“Miss Anyim is now fully vindicated as a bonafide graduate of law, and a recipient of God’s grace.
“I urge every member of Pastor Paul Enenche’s congregation, whose faith was challenged to be encouraged by this. Their pastor has, by his exemplary conduct, shown that love is stronger than pride.
“I pray that God blessed Miss Vera Anyim and Pastor Paul Enenche and give them the desires of their hearts, in Yeshua’s Name”, the post added.
