The Special Adviser to the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, on Youth Affairs, Eric Uwakwe, has described the recent conferment of a prestigious Doctor of Management degree Honoris Causa on the governor during the 36th Convocation Ceremony of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), as a testament to his administrative achievements.
In a statement on Tuesday, Uwakwe said the honour further affirmed that the governor has performed admirably in office.
According to Uwakwe, as a key member of the governor’s political family, he was not surprised by the recognition from FUTO, given Governor Uzodinma’s dedication to core issues of governance and development throughout his political career.
He stated that the governor’s achievements in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and agriculture remain unparalleled and have not been witnessed in the state since 1999.
Uwakwe also noted that the youths of Imo State would continue to offer the governor their full support for the betterment of the state.
The governor’s aide particularly praised the ongoing road construction projects across various parts of the state, describing them as “revolutionary.”
He said: “On behalf of the youths of Imo State, I congratulate our dear governor on the conferment of the prestigious Doctor of Management degree Honoris Causa during the institution’s 36th Convocation Ceremony at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri.
“This prestigious honour by a highly respected institution like FUTO is further evidence that the governor has performed excellently. We, the youths of Imo State, do not take this recognition bestowed upon the governor by FUTO for granted.
“Thank you, our governor, for putting Imo on the national map and for the sacrifices you make for the betterment of our state. The indices show that Imo is on the right track.
“Security has improved tremendously. There is massive road construction across the state. Our healthcare system is currently one of the best in the country. Heartland FC has been rejuvenated, and so many other positive developments are being witnessed in our state.”
