The United States Mission in Nigeria has announced the closure of its Embassy in Abuja and Consulate General in Lagos for the New Year’s Day celebration.
This is contained in a post shared on X on Tuesday.
“The US Embassy in Abuja and Consulate General in Lagos will be closed on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, in observance of New Year’s Day.
“As we enter 2025, we look forward to strengthening the enduring partnership between the United States and Nigeria.
“From all of us at the US Mission, we wish you a peaceful and prosperous New Year!” the post reads.
Recall that the Federal Government through the Minister of Interior announced December 25 and 26, 2024, and January 1, 2025, as public holidays to observe the Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day celebrations respectively.
