Al-Bayan Interfaith Centre has called for the immediate prosecution of all those involved in the heinous and senseless killing of travelers to Kano in Uromi, Edo State and commended the Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo and his Kano State counterpart, Abba Yusuf for their respective roles in dousing raised tensions in the wake of the incident.
This call comes amid revelations of the arrest of some of the suspects involved in the barbaric act that tends to undermine our humanity.
Al-Bayan, therefore, called on relevant authorities to unravel the remote and immediate causes of the killings.

The group, in a statement signed by its Executive Director, Imam Muhammad Jibrin Ndagi, urged both governors not to stop at that but use their good offices in collaboration with their colleagues to promote the spirit of love, togetherness, devoid of acrimony and mutual suspicions among Nigerians irrespective of where they come from.
“We are deeply saddened and outraged by this brutal act of violence, which is a clear violation of human rights and the fundamental values of compassion, tolerance, and respect for human life.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of the victims, as we pray that Allah grants them strength, comfort, and justice.
“We call on the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into this incident, bring the perpetrators to justice, and take concrete measures to prevent such senseless violence from occurring again,” the statement read.”
Al-Bayan Interfaith Center, however, urged all Nigerians to rise in condemnation of every act of terrorism and to promote peace, understanding, and mutual respect among all communities.
They called for justice for the victims and their families, and reiterates its commitment towards promoting security, peace, and harmonious living in our communities, just as they promised to continue to work with all stakeholders towards ensuring safety and security in our communities.
