“He played an incredible game at Brentford and was then out again.”
“We want to be careful and have to be careful [with Salah] but we are in the middle of a super-intense period of the season,” added Klopp.
“We need everybody and now let’s see how long we can use him. That’s how it is with him and others as well. It’s just good news.”
Salah’s return comes at a crucial point for Liverpool. In the next 10 days before the international break, they have both legs of this last-16 Europa League tie, face Manchester City in a huge title showdown at Anfield on Sunday and a quarter-final FA Cup tie against Manchester United.
Liverpool are still without Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ryan Gravenberch, Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota amongst others.
Liverpool’s opponents tonight, Sparta Prague, also sit top of their league, four points clear of city rivals Slavia Prague. After finishing second in Group C behind Rangers, Sparta defeated Galatasaray 6-4 on aggregate in the knockout round play-offs to reach the Last 16.
