A man who returned from the United Kingdom (UK) last week has been identified as one of the casualties of the explosion which rocked Ibadan, Oyo State on Tuesday night.

A viral video circulating on social media credits an eyewitness, Honourable Ayode Jajaye as disclosing that the UK Returnee who is also a son of one of the landlords in the estate where the explosion occurred was among those who lost their lives to the explosion which rocked Ibadan on Tuesday night.

said, “Look at the guy that just died, he just came from the UK about a week ago. He’s a son to a landlord in this estate.

Meanwhile, Barrister Iyiola Oladokun, a former deputy governor of Oyo State, shared his distress after the explosion in Ibadan left him and his family homeless.

The incident, which occurred on Tuesday night at Dejo Oyelese Close, Bodija Housing Estate, damaged Oladokun’s residence along with several others.

Oladokun revealed that he and his family could no longer stay in their house due to the extensive damage caused by the explosion. Thankfully, a friend provided temporary accommodation for him and his wife.
