Two persons were killed on Wednesday in a fatal traffic accident that occurred at Eldorado Junction along Airport Road in the metropolis of Kano State.
The accident, confirmed by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state, involved a total of six male persons.
“The crash, caused by dangerous driving, involved a DAF truck (commercial) and a Jincheng motorcycle (private),” a statement signed by the Sector’s Public Education Officer, CRC Abdullahi Labaran, explained.
“FRSC operatives arrived at the scene within three minutes, promptly rescuing the injured victim to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, while the deceased were deposited at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.”
“The vehicles and recovered items were handed over to Gwagwarwa Police Division for further investigation,” the statement held.
“The FRSC urged motorists to drive safely and obey traffic rules to prevent road crashes,” said the statement.
“The FRSC extends condolences to the families of the deceased and wishes the injured a quick recovery,” the statement added.
