THE Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has confirmed the death of two persons believed to have been friends after a fight.
The incident was said to have happened on Thursday evening in Inisa in Odo-Otin Local Government Area of Osun State.
The two friends, identified as Ali Baba, a palm wine tapper and one Kayode Olete, were said to have employed dangerous weapons and stabbed each other to the point where one of them was disemboweled.
The spokesperson of the NSCDC in the state, Adeleke Kehinde, said: “The incident occurred on Thursday around 21:05 hour.
“We got a report that two people, one Ali Baba, 60 plus, male (a Ghanaian by origin and palm wine tapper by profession) and one Kayode Olete, 52, male, were fighting at Baale Okunoye Compound, Inisa.
“The two of them were said to be close friends. Nobody knew what led to their fight as the house where the incident happened was isolated and dilapidated. Passersby later saw them in a pool of blood as they had stabbed each other with the intestines popping out.
