He said this while reacting to the purported rumour of his illegal impeachment on Thursday by some persons who are not members of the LGA legislative arm.
Recall that there was rumour of his removal in the early hours on Thursday where two out of the 12 councillors allegedly hired few persons alongside unidentified security men to carry out an impeachment on him.
According to Hon Ugiagbe through his Chief Press Secretary, Roy Osariemen, said, “my purported impeachment as Chairman of Orhionmwon Local Government Council is null and void.
“Ten out of 12 councilors had earlier impeached the former leader, who is now illegally claiming to be Acting Chairman.
“This is a ploy by the APC to gain unauthorized access to the council’s treasury, which we will resist through legal means.
“Despite these challenges, I remain the duly elected Chairman, committed to delivering good governance to Orhionmwon people, as we have done for the past sixteen months.
“We are open to collaborating with other tiers of government to achieve this goal.
“I urge all well-meaning individuals to condemn the harassment, intimidation, and illegality perpetrated by the APC in our state,” the statement said.
