The Kogi State Vigilante Service (KSVS) has arrested two individuals, Mustapha Mohammad and a female accomplice, Blessing Sunday, for allegedly stealing from and defrauding Point of Sale (PoS) agents in Lokoja, Kogi State.
Reports indicate that the alleged fraudsters were apprehended by the KSVS following a tip-off.
The suspects reportedly confessed to defrauding at least three PoS businesses in the Cantonment, Kpata area, and Nataco Junction within Lokoja metropolis.
KSVS Commander Mohammad Zuberu stated that the fraudsters’ luck ran out when Mustapha Mohammad, the alleged mastermind of the syndicate, was arrested.

He added that the command had been tracking the suspects for several days due to numerous complaints about their activities in Lokoja.
Zuberu said, “The arrest of Mohammed led to the capture of his female accomplice, Blessing Sunday, at a popular hotel in Lokoja.
During interrogation, the suspects confessed to defrauding PoS operators in the Cantonment, Kpata area, Nataco Junction, and other locations in the Lokoja suburb.
“The two suspects have been handed over to the police at A Division in Lokoja for further investigation.”
He emphasized that the command would continue to collaborate with conventional law enforcement agencies to maintain safety and reduce crime in Lokoja.
When contacted, the state police command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Williams Aya, promised to connect with the command’s operatives for more details but failed to do so by the time of filing this report.
