Tumburkai was chosen to lead the Forum during a meeting held at the party’s Secretariat in Katsina on Sunday, where the 34 elected party candidates convened.
In a statement released by the Forum’s Public Relations Officer, Hamisu Ismail Jibia, and shared with newsmen, it was emphasized that Tumburkai’s new role underscores his dedication to promoting democratic engagement and providing a platform for party candidates to connect with voters.
It reads, “As Chairman, Abdullahi Tumburkai will oversee the forum’s initiatives aimed at enhancing transparency and accessibility in the electoral process.
The Party Candidates Forum serves as a vital resource for candidates to discuss their platforms, engage with constituents, and collaborate on issues that matter most to the community.
“This role is an incredible opportunity to bring together diverse voices and ensure that all candidates have the chance to share their visions for our future.
I am committed to creating an inclusive environment where voters can make informed decisions.”

The Forum also announced other key appointments: Honourable Abdurrahman Rilwan from Kusada Local Government as Secretary, Honourable Yasir Ibrahim from Katsina Local Government as Treasurer, Honourable Tarik Yahaya from Musawa Local Government as Financial Secretary, with Honourable Nura Mai’adua and Honourable Hamisu Ismail Jibia taking on the roles of Organising Secretary and Public Relations Officer, respectively.
