Troops of the 6 Brigade of the Nigeria Army in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State, have neutralized three bandits and recovered arms and ammunition.
The special operation which took place in Chibi Village, of Karim-Lamido local government crea of the state, was said to have been made possible following an intelligence report.
The swift action by the troops, according to the Brigade Commander, Brigadier Gen. Kingsley Uwa, led to the elimination of the criminals and the retrieval of crucial items.
Among the seized items were two AK-47 rifles, a motorcycle utilized by the criminal elements, and a cache containing 40 rounds of 7.62 MM special ammunition.
Commending the troops for their bravery and efficiency in executing the mission, he emphasized the military’s commitment to eradicating criminal elements in Taraba and assured residents of the state of ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security.
