In continuation of its clearance operations, troops of the Joint Task Force South East Operation UDO KA, comprising the Army, Navy, and Air Force, in conjunction with the Nigeria Police, Department of State Services, and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, cleared an IPOB/ESN camp at Uhuala-Aku in Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State.
According to information from the Defence Headquarters on Sunday, the combined forces, acting on credible intelligence, arrived at the terrorist camp and encountered the irredentists, who abandoned their camp in disarray and escaped into the adjoining forest due to the troops’ superior firepower.

Items recovered by the troops from the fleeing insurgents included firearms, ammunition, and other materials, including a sack containing a human skull. The troops also destroyed 26 makeshift accommodations in the camp.
In the same vein, on Saturday, troops of Sector 2, acting on reliable intelligence about suspected members of the irredentist group terrorizing the general area of the Okigwe community in Okposi Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, quickly mobilized to the area. On arrival, the troops arrested two suspects and recovered weapons and a motorcycle.
Similarly, troops of Sector 1 Operation UDO KA, in conjunction with the Department of State Services, raided an IPOB/ESN camp at Agu Orba Ekwegbe Community in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State. During the raid, the troops recovered locally fabricated firearms, ammunition, and materials used in the construction of weapons.
