A market in Masaka, Karu local government area of Nasarawa State, has been razed by fire, leaving many traders lamenting as they count their losses.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire started at about 10:00 pm on Friday night.
Arogidigba Global Journal reports that the incident has left many of the affected traders devastated.
As at time of filing this report, fire service personnel were not on the ground to contain the fire as some parts of the market were still burning.
Videos of the incident circulating online showed traders lamenting their losses, while some were seen ransacking the ruins in search of valuables.
The last time a fire incident affected the market was in 2019.
