Luton captain Tom Lockyer has thanked the “heroes” who saved his life after he suffered a cardiac arrest at Bournemouth earlier this month.

The 29-year-old collapsed within the 59th minute of the Premier League conflict at Vitality Stadium, ensuing within the Dec 16 fixture being abandoned.

Lockyer was discharged from hospital 5 days later after a process to suit an implantable cardioverter defibrillator.

The Welshman made his first feedback for the reason that incident through his Instagram account on New Yr’s Eve, offering an replace on his well-being and expressing gratitude to all those that helped him.

“I’d identical to to say that I’m doing very effectively and feeling very a lot myself after the cardiac arrest I suffered in Bournemouth,” Lockyer stated. “The rationale I’m doing so effectively is all all the way down to the heroic actions of the gamers, employees, medical doctors and paramedics.

“I really feel grateful that this occurred to me surrounded by these heroes. They saved my life. I’ll always remember what you probably did for me.”
