The Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila has disclosed that the government is working round the clock to tackle the security challenges facing the country.
Gbajabiamila stated this after casting his vote at Unit 14, Ward G2, Elizabeth Fowler Primary School, Masha, Surulere, Lagos.
Speaking in an interview with journalists after voting, the former Speaker said President Tinubu has devised new strategies to deal with the security situation.
He said the security challenges were not peculiar to Nigeria, but Nigerians should rally around the President and be their brother’s keepers by reporting suspicious movements to security agents to nib the activities of bandits and kidnappers in the bud.
Speaking on the harsh economic situation factored by fuel subsidy removal, he noted that the removal of fuel subsidy was inevitable, considering that the country was being defrauded by some people who were benefiting from the system.
He, however, assured Nigerians that things would improve with measures put in place by President Tinubu to address some of the identified issues causing the hardship.
He also expressed the hope that whoever emerged as the winner at the election would be monitored to ensure that he performed beyond where he stopped.
