President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Kaduna State to serve as the special guest of honour for the 60th-anniversary celebrations of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA).
His arrival at the Kaduna International Airport at precisely 11:30 am was met with a warm reception by the state governor, Senator Uba Sani, alongside Minister of Environment Balarabe Abbas, senior Kaduna State Government officials, and top-ranking military officers.
During his visit, President Tinubu is slated to deliver a keynote address at the diamond jubilee festivities of the NDA, held at Afaka in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Upon his arrival at the airport, the President proceeded directly to the Nigerian Defence Academy, Afaka, where he will serve as the reviewing officer for the academy’s 60th anniversary parade.
The commemorative event includes various activities such as a march past by officers, trooping, and the presentation of colours.
Present were a diverse array of dignitaries, including graduates of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), former commandants, serving and retired military officers, operatives from other security and paramilitary organisations, and representatives from various institutions.
Notably, Major General Rabiu Aliyu (retd.), a member of the pioneer Regular Course 1 of 1964 and the Special Guest of Honour, graced the occasion with his presence.
