In recent years, older buildings in La Croisette, the original resort centre, have been revamped and reclad, while the modern largely ski-in/ski-out satellites of Reberty and Le Bruyères have wisely been constructed in a much more sympathetic chalet style. The majority of accommodation here is in self-catering apartments and catered chalets. However, the four-star Ours Blanc Hotel & Spa, high up in the Reberty district in Les Menuires, had a makeover for 2022/23, including a newly refurbished spa and restaurant area.
A handful of British operators has colonised the satellite villages of Reberty and Les Bruyères (new for 2023/24 family specialist, Ski Famille, has opened a new chalet-hotel in Les Bruyères), admitting only reluctantly that they are part of Les Menuires at all. They’re easier on the eye, have their own shops and restaurants and, compared to their more famous neighbouring resorts, they’re easier on the pocket, too.
