Last week, the TCN said it had successfully commissioned a new 100/125MVA 132/33kV power transformer at the Ota transmission substation.
With the commissioning of this transformer, the said the substation’s capacity had increased from 228MW to 328MW, saying this enhancement provides more bulk power for both Ibadan DisCo and its Ikeja counterpart, enabling them to supply more electricity to their customers in Ota, Iju, Ilogbo, Sango, Ijoko, Atan, Ijagba, as well as some industrial customers in the surrounding areas.
The transmission company said the project is part of the ongoing TCN-World Bank initiatives across the country.
