Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side Sporting Lagos have confirmed that their stadium is not affected by the Federal Government’s coastal road project.
The general manager of the club, Godwin Enakhena disclosed this on his X handle.
Enakhena said that the stadium construction was delayed by the contractors.
He however revealed that the contractors have started laying the pitch.
The 3,000 capacity stadium is located at Landmark, Lekki Lagos.
“Sporting Lagos are not affected by the Coastal Line issue,” he stated.
“Sporting Lagos should’ve been playing matches in its stadium last season but the contractor disappointed. I was there a few days ago and they’ve started laying the pitch.
“The 3000 capacity stadium, Landmark, by Trinity Church, it’s in an open space, next to the waters, lovely atmosphere to watch and play sports.”
