A singer and social media sensation, Darlington Okoye, aka Speed Darlington, has expressed his frustration with his kinsmen for uprooting a banner with which he was searching for a wife.
Darlington, who was in the United States of America, when the banner was uprooted described it as an act of jealousy.
In a video posted online, he said, “If you are part of those who went to uproot the banner in my compound, you are a senseless person, because you did not understand that the people who use their names and face to eat do not go to the bar or where they sell nkwobi (cow leg) and just sit there to eat (sic). That banner is what I would use to find a woman who would marry me.
“I have a name, and I use my name to eat. So, I cannot just go to the market. I have people that I pay to go to the market for me. To tell you the truth, I stay in a hotel morning, afternoon, and night. I do not cook. I have even sacked my cook.”
He continued, “That banner I kept in front of my compound did not have the picture of people frolicking, so I do not know why you people removed it. What I see is jealousy.”
Expressing his anger further, he warned, “When I return and put back that banner, no one should touch it again. All of you have someone you sleep with, but I don’t have anyone. When I want to be pleasured, I go to pay for it. That banner is what I plan to use to get my own wife. Finding a wife is not easy for me. Or, do you want me to stay alone in my house after building it?”
The controversial personality had earlier posted a video of the banner on social media, revealing that he was actively searching for a wife; asking single women to apply if they met his criteria.
Specifying his requirements in the banner, he said, “You must have financial literacy. Be someone who can manage money, must be at least a secondary school graduate, dark in complexion, have big buttocks of 46 to 50 inches. The buttock is very important to me; I like it.”
He added that the lady should be a virgin, or must have been with only one man.
Emphasising what he has to offer, Darlington listed his possessions to include ‘six plots of land, an 11-room mansion, and a studio’.
