The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas on Wednesday expressed sadness over the demise of the Chief of Moroa in Kaduna State, His Highness, Dr. Tagwai Sambo (OFR).
Speaker Abbas, in his condolence message issued through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, in Abuja, commiserated with the Asholyio people in Southern Kaduna, describing the late traditional leader as a peace-loving man.
He noted that the late Sambo was not just a traditional ruler but an elder statesman and a great mobiliser of the people for good causes.
The Speaker extended his condolences to the people and government of Kaduna State while praying to God for the repose of the monarch’s soul.
While praying God to give the family of the late monarch and the people of Morao the fortitude to bear the loss, Speaker Abbas urged them to take solace in the fact that Sambo lived a life worthy of emulation.
The late Sambo reigned for 58 years and was one of the longest-reigning traditional rulers in northern Nigeria.
