As Muslims worldwide celebrate the end of Ramadan, the National Coordinator of Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), CSP Olabisi Okuwobi, has enjoined Nigerian youths to imbibe the pious spirit of the fasting period and stay out of crime as well as shun cultism and other vices.
CSP Okuwobi gave the admonition on Wednesday in a message to Muslims generally and youths particularly, as she noted that the online image for the past month had been a time of reflection, spiritual growth, and self-discipline.
Extending warm wishes to all youths, she said that the joint fasting, shared praying times and strengthened connection to something greater were enough to reflect on at the end of Ramadan.
She urged all to be inspired with the same dedication and perseverance displayed during Ramadan.
“This past month has been a time of reflection, spiritual growth, and self-discipline.
“We’ve fasted together, shared prayers, and strengthened our connection to something greater. As we celebrate Eid al-Fitr, let’s carry those lessons forward.
“Together, let’s use this newfound energy to achieve our goals and make a lasting impact in our lives and communities.
“Stay out of crime and say no to cultism and other vices,” the POCACOV National Coordinator admonished.
