Vice President Shettima, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and his deputy, Atiku Abubakar, were among the cream of dignitaries that graced the wedding ceremony of the son of business mogul, Fahad Dahiru Mangal, and the daughter of the leader of the New Nigeria People Party, Aisha Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
The wedding, which was conducted on Saturday at the palace of the Emir of Kano, was officiated by the Chief Imam of Kano, Sani Zahradeen.
A bride price of N1 million was paid by the groom’s family, led by the billionaire businessman and chief executive of Max Air, Dahiru Mangal.
Another N1 million was extended as a gift to the cream of Imams (clerics) who partook in the solemnisation of the marriage of the couple.
A reception was soon after hosted at the Kano State Government House by the state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, who acted as the father of the bride during the ceremony.
Sunday Sun observed that the dignitaries at the event also included two former Senate Presidents, David Mark, Bukola Saraki, a former Governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Makarfi, Katsina State Governor, Umar Radda, and Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, former Minister Ali Pantami, among others.
