The National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam, has congratulated the President of the Republic of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, on his victory at the recently held Presidential Election in the country.
Gabam, in a letter to President Faye, said the outcome of the election was a clear testament that democracy would thrive and that “it is the only way to liberate the people from shackles of misrules in Africa”.
The SDP Chairman said that his emergence as the youngest elected President in Africa, had undoubtedly, rekindled the hopes of Millions of African Youths.
According to the SDP Chairman, “It is also a manifestation that African Youths are ready to take back their rightful places in their various countries and make the African Continent one of the best in the world.
“Indeed, your quest for years of democratic freedom has come to fruition.
‘As you Assume office to take charge of the country, I pray Allah guides you and gives you the wisdom to pilot the affairs of the Republic,”
Gabam also condoled with President Vladimir Putin of Russia as well as citizens of the country over the terrorist attack at a Crocus City Hall concert in Moscow that led to the deaths of over 130 innocent lives
SDP Chairman in a letter to President Putin through the Russian Ambassador to Nigeria, Embassy of the Republic of Russia, Abuja, said the unfortunate and barbaric attack has left the world devastated.
This, he said, was because Russia is one of the most secure countries on earth.
He however was grateful that due to the proactiveness of the Russian government, the perpetrators were swiftly rounded up.

According to him “It is on the basis of the above, I write to offer my sincere condolences and also to identify with you and the people of Russian Republic at this trying moment.
“I pray God almighty to forestall the further re-occurrence of this cowardly act and to repose the departed souls, and grant their families, the People and Government of the Russian Republic the fortitude to bear the loss.
“I must, however, commend your unflinching and dogged leadership you provide for the World. There must be a concerted effort from the global leadership to tame the rising insecurity.
“Nigeria particularly enjoys a good working relationship with your country; and must continue to work with you so as to surmount, especially, her security challenges.
“May I, also, use this medium to congratulate Your Excellency, on your recent re-election for a historic 5th term as the President of the Republic of Russia. It is a testament to the good leadership you provide the Russian People”
Also, a delegation of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China led by its Counsellor, Wang Jun has paid a working visit to the National Secretariat in Abuja,
The delegation received by the National Chairman Alhaji Gabam along with the members of the National Working Committee, NWC was around to discuss possible cooperation of the Chinese Communist Party, the Chinese Embassy and the Social Democratic Party respectively.
According to a statement from the Party, during the visit, the Chinese delegation was conducted around the national Secretariat and they appreciated the working structure of the party.
The delegation also promised to have exchange programs that would develop party administration
