Russia has launched its third “massive” strike on Ukraine in four days after 57 missile and drone attacks were reported in Kyiv and the western city of Lviv.
The majority were intercepted with the Ukrainian air force reporting that it destroyed 18 out of 29 missiles and 25 out of 28 attack drones.
Witnesses in Kyiv heard several blasts and saw some air weapons being shot down.
There were no reports of casualties, according to Sergiy Popko, the head of Kyiv’s military administration.
“The enemy continues massive missile terror against Ukraine,” Mr Popko said.
One of Russia’s cruise missiles launched at the Lviv region reportedly violated Poland’s air space.
The Polish armed forces said that “the object entered Polish space near the town of Oserdow (Lublin Voivodeship) and stayed there for 39 seconds”.
