Romanian Agency For Investment and Foreign Trade (ARICE) announces the launch of the file selection process for awarding a number of 40 scholarships to foreign citizens to study in Romania starting from the academic year 2024-2025

Benefits
- Exemption from the payment of registration fees or any other fees required by application processing
- Financing the tuition expenses for the Romanian language preparatory year;
- Financing the tuition expenses for the actual studies
- Granting a monthly stipend, for students enrolled in the Romanian language preparatory year;
- Granting a monthly stipend, for students enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral studies
- Financing the accommodation expenses in the student dormitories
- Medical assistance in case of medical-surgical emergencies and diseases with endemic-epidemic potential
- Local public, ground, naval and underground transport, as well as domestic car, railway and naval transport
Requirements
- Be a foreign student preferably outside of the EU and EFTA
- Possess the relevant documents to apply for a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD degree.
- Be eligible to take a preparatory language course if you do not understand Romanian.
Selection Process
- The ARICE selection committee, appointed according to legal procedures, will select the candidates, based on the documents submitted to the file, until July 15, 2024 at the latest, after which it will publish the result of this intermediate selection stage on the institution’s website at: https:/ /arice.gov.ro/1/burse-2024
- The final decision to award the scholarships will be taken by the Ministry of Education, based on its own selection criteria, the final results of the selection process being announced on the ARICE website and communicated by email to the selected candidates.
- The Ministry of Education, through the General Directorate of International Relations and European Affairs, will issue the Acceptance Letters / Enrollment Orders, as the case may be, until the start of the 2024-2025 academic year.

- Photocopy of the diplomas obtained (high school diploma or its equivalent, bachelor’s, master’s, doctorate diplomas, if applicable) in Romanian, English or French languages, if applicable.
- Academic Transcripts, authenticated by the competent authorities of the issuing country in Romanian, English or French languages, if applicable.
- Applicant’s declaration that he/she did not benefit from another scholarship from the Romanian Government for the requested academic level.

- Medical certificate original
- Identity card – photocopy and legalised translation
- Copy of the first two pages of the Passport (valid at least 6 months after the beginning of the requested study program).
- Two recent passport type photos
Method of Application
In the period March 1 – May 31, 2024, 23:59 Romanian time, application files for scholarships awarded by the Romanian state for the academic year 2024-2025 will be sent only in electronic format, to the email address: burse2024@arice.gov.ro
