Rivers United technical, Stanley Eguma believed that their game against Rangers was a good advertisement for the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The Pride of Rivers grabbed the maximum points with a 2-0 win at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on Sunday.
Deputy, Echeta and Alex Oyowah scored the two goals.
Eguma said both teams showed a lot of qualities in the game.
“It was a very interesting match, both teams gave a good account of themselves,” he told Rivers United Media.
“This is another big image (advertisement) for the NPFL. The game had a lot of quality, you see the pace of the two teams, the skills and technical input was very impressive.
“We had better chances and took it. Rangers played well but we had the upper hand.”
Rivers United climbed up to 15th position with 37 points from 25 games.
