Marcus Rashford has dismissed as “ridiculous” claims that the unsettled Manchester United star is seeking a new agent to facilitate a move away from Old Trafford.

A report earlier this week alleged that the England forward had met with a leading sports agency to engineer a transfer.

The 27-year-old had hinted at being open to a “new challenge” during an interview last month, following a period of reduced playing opportunities under new manager Ruben Amorim.

A product of United’s youth academy, Rashford was left out of four consecutive matchday squads last month, beginning with the derby against Manchester City, and was an unused substitute in Monday’s defeat to Newcastle.

Rashford has endured a challenging time over the past two seasons, scoring just four Premier League goals this term. Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea have been among the clubs recently linked with the forward.

However, Rashford, who is currently represented by his brother Dwaine Maynard, denied the reports about his future, stating on Instagram, “There have been a lot of false stories written over the past few weeks, but guys, this is getting ridiculous – I have never met with any agency and have no plans to.”
