Pope Francis has said that pornography and lust undermine and rob people from experiencing God’s gift of sexual pleasure.
The Catholic pontiff said this on Wednesday at his weekly general audience in the Paul VI Audience Hall.
He said, “Sexual pleasure, which is a gift from God, is undermined by pornography: satisfaction without relationship that can generate forms of addiction.
“We must defend love, love of the heart, mind and body, loving by giving oneself to another — this is the beauty of a sexual relationship.”
“Lust, on the other hand, poisons relationships,” he added.
This is coming less than a week after Pope Francis called for a global ban on surrogacy.
According to him, the practice of a woman carrying another person’s child was “deplorable”.
