The police operatives have arrested nine suspects in connection with various crimes, including thuggery, armed robbery, and criminal conspiracy.
Disclosing this on Friday, Police Public Relations Officer, Gombe State Police Command, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, noted that the command recovered several stolen items, including phones, ATM cards, and cash.
He said, “We are committed to ensuring the safety and security of our residents.
“We will continue to work tirelessly to combat crime and bring perpetrators to justice.”
The statement added another notable arrest was that of three suspects—Mohammad Ahmad, Abdullahi Adamu, and Yau Adamu – who were arrested for armed robbery at Federal Low-Cost Quarters, Gombe LGA, Gombe State.
“The suspects, who were armed with a sharp knife, robbed two residents of their valuables, including a Redmi Android phone valued at N150,000, a Tecno Android phone valued at N100,000, three ATM cards, and N3,000 cash,” the statement added.
He disclosed that during interrogation, the suspects confessed to the crime, and all the stolen items were successfully recovered, adding, “We are pleased that we were able to recover all the stolen items and bring the suspects to justice. We urge members of the public to continue to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.”
