The Yobe State Police Command Power has arrested Power has arrested a 43-year-old suspect, Abubakar Musa, in reference to the homicide of his spouse, Ammi Mamman, in Damaturu.
Spokesman of the Command, Dungus Abdulkarim, who disclosed this in an announcement the incident occurred at New Bra-Bra Property at about 4:48 am on Thursday, January 4, 2024.
Abdulkarim stated the suspect was in the identical mattress because the spouse when she was stabbed with an object on her neck ensuing to heavy bleeding that led to her demise.
He stated that the person was being interrogated by police detectives to unravel the circumstances surrounding the demise.
In accordance with him, the matter was reported on the C Divisional Police Headquarters, Damaturu, and it’s at present being interrogated by the CID and murder unit of the command.
In the meantime, a resident of the world who pleaded for anonymity informed newsmen that the suspect, after committing the crime, rushed to name his neighbour for help.
“After he dedicated the crime, he rushed to inform his neighbour that his spouse was bleeding. So, they obtained an ambulance and conveyed her to the hospital, the place she was confirmed lifeless,” he stated.
