PDP holds another crucial meeting in Abia, vows to reclaim state in 2027

Top members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP have held another stakeholders meeting in Abia North zone, with focus on repositioning the party to reclaim power in the state by 2027.

The members, who came from the five local governments that make up Abia North, agreed to shun every divisive tendencies that affected the party in the past.

Speaking at the meeting which was held at the Abriba home of Mandela Obasi, member representing Ohafia North constituency in Abia State House of Assembly, PDP Chiarman, Abraham Amah expressed confidence that PDP would rise again by reclaiming State Government House and other elective positions.

He maintained that the party’s tickets for the 2027 elections would only be given to candidates who emerge through credible primary elections and have the capacity to win main elections.

Amah, who emphasized that the days of sentiment and impunity were over in his party, said that PDP has now returned to the people.

He, however, issuing a stern warning to any individual who claims to be a PDP member but works against the party’s interests, saying that such individual would face divine consequences.

Also speaking, the host of the meeting, Mandela Obasi, who represents Ohafia North in Abia State House of Assembly, and Emmanuel Ndubuisi who represents Bende South, said they would not dump the PDP for another political party like some of colleagues did, but to work for future glory of the party.

A communique signed by the State Chairman, Abraham Amah and other leaders, said: “The Leaders categorically committed themselves to working assiduously towards ensuring that the PDP reclaims the Abia State Government House come 2027”
