The immediate-past governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, says the Peoples Democratic Social gathering, PDP, G5 Governors will assist President Bola Tinubu if he seeks re-election in 2027.
Ortom spoke on Sunday at an occasion organised by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The G5 governors are Wike, Ortom, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, former governor of Enugu; Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo, and Okezie Ikpeazu, former governor of Abia.
They refused to again the presidential bid of PDP candidate, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, in the course of the 2023 common election.
In keeping with the previous Benue governor, Tinubu is a seasoned administrator and must be allowed to repair the nation.
Ortom mentioned, “Our chief, Nyesom Wike, has already made a declaration that in 2027, we’re supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“We’ve got nowhere to go as a result of that’s what Nigerians consider. Even the previous administration that took Nigeria from high to backside, we allowed them to work for eight years. So, why can’t a seasoned administrator within the particular person President Bola Ahmed Tinubu rule us for eight years?”
