Members of the National Assembly from the three senatorial districts in Oyo state through the Muslim Community have distributed palliatives worth millions of naira to all the Muslim faithful in all 33 local government areas.
The distribution took place at the Bodija Central Mosque in Ibadan, where items were presented to the beneficiaries through their representatives from each LGA.
The palliatives, which included bags of rice, semovita, and other essential items, were contributed by Senator Abdulfatai Buhari (Oyo North), Senator Sharafadeen Alli (Oyo South), and Senator Yunus Akintunde (Oyo Central).

Speaking on behalf of the Muslim Community of Oyo State, Alhaji Kunle Sanni, expressed gratitude for the donation, emphasising that the items would greatly assist beneficiaries in fasting with ease during the holy month.
He highlighted the economic challenges faced by many individuals even before Ramadan, underscoring the importance of providing support and relief to those in need.
Sanni urged the responsible parties involved in the distribution to carry out their duties diligently, ensuring that the palliatives reach the intended recipients without bias or discrimination.
Additionally, he commended the three Senators for their continuous support and generosity towards the Muslim community, acknowledging their efforts in making a positive impact during Ramadan.
