The Secretary to the Oyo State Government (SSG), Professor Olanike Adeyemo, has reaffirmed the readiness of Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration to partner with the stakeholders in the agro-allied industry in boosting the agriculture sector to grow the state economy.
She maintained that concerted efforts by the government to revolutionalise various sectors in the state are already yielding results, hence no effort will be spared to partner with critical stakeholders in enhancing the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
This is contained in a statement signed by the media officer to the SSG, Mr Abiodun Atilola, which was forwarded to the Nigerian Tribune on Thursday.
The statement quoted Adeyemo as having made this disclosure during a courtesy visit by the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association in her office.

It reads: “Adeyemo reiterated the ongoing agricultural revolution at Fashola Farm through the Oyo State Agricultural Development Agency (OYSADA), emphasising that the state Government is eager to partner with more investors and professional associations in agriculture to further enhance food sufficiency.
“Governor ‘Seyi Makinde has already engaged some expatriates in agricultural research to support the state’s agricultural system. With plans for an agri-business hub in the Ibarapa axis, the government is dedicated to increasing food security and reducing poverty in Oyo State.
“Anyone interested in supporting the agricultural sector in the state should reach out to the relevant Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) for a healthy partnership, the statement added.
In his remark, the president of the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association, Dr. Moses Arokoyo, commended the state government for its efforts in promoting agriculture and food security.
He stressed the importance of addressing zoonotic diseases in the state, seeking collaboration with the government on the pressing issue.
