Osun State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board Chairman, Alhaji Maruf Ishola, hinted on Thursday that over 1,500 intending pilgrims have deposited their Hajj fees with the State Board to enable them to perform this year’s pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.
The chairman who made this known in Osogbo, however, charged the intending Pilgrims who are yet to complete their remaining balance to do so without further delay to secure clearance for the operation.
While assuring that all necessary logistics have been put in place for a hitch-free Hajj exercise, he stressed that the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has been allocated over 1,500 seats by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria.
Sheikh Maruf Ishola thereafter appreciated the Almighty Allah for the grace to surpass many states in the South West in terms of registration and clearance for this year’s Hajj exercise.
He further disclosed that the board has embarked on a four-week enlightenment programme for the pilgrims for a successful Hajj
