OSUN state government on Saturday disclosed that the present administration under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke has registered 700 youths for training in its maiden edition of the creative conference, to foster the state’s economic growth through creativity.
The Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, Mr Bamikole Omishore who made this known via a statement in Osogbo stated that the governor determined to use the creative sector as a driving force of the state economic development.
According to him, the 700 youths registered to participate in the first-ever creative seminar targeted at training youths to explore the sector.
This event, with over 700 registered applicants, aligns with Governor Adeleke’s agenda to drive economic growth by leveraging creativity and innovation.
Through collaboration with the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, Agency on Creativity, Entertainment and Art, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, stakeholders, private sector leaders, and development partners, we have worked tirelessly to make this groundbreaking conference a reality,” Omishore said.

He added that the conference will feature a series of engaging sessions, exhibitions, and cultural showcases designed to inspire and empower participants, who are mostly youth with potential in the creative sector.
While disclosing that,event scheduled to take place between January 28 to 30 this year at the SDG skill acquisition centre Iragbiji, he remarked that, the State would focus on Goals 8, 9 and 11 of the Sustainable Development Goals which focused on Decent work and Economic Growth. Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, as well as Sustainable Cities and Communities.
Omishore however stressed that, “With the theme, “Innovate, Create, and Transform: Unlocking the Creative Economy for Sustainable Development,” the event will highlight the significant role of creativity in driving economic growth and achieving sustainable development.
Also, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation, Science, and Technology, Hon. Azeez Badmus, adds, “Through the Osun SDG Creatives Conference, innovators and creators will drive Osun’s digital future, inspiring youth to uncover their talents, share their unique stories, and shape their destinies through the power of technology.”
