The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has vowed to expose influential party members from other states who are allegedly undermining its interests at the Presidency.
In a statement released on Tuesday by the party’s spokesperson, Kola Olabisi, the Osun APC accused certain high-ranking APC chieftains, including serving governors, ministers, and other political figures at the Presidency of working against the party’s interests in the state in favour of Governor Ademola Adeleke.
“Our ears are full of the inglorious and nefarious contributions of such highly-placed chieftains of our party, both from some APC-controlled states and at the Presidency, who, instead of adding value to our party in our state, have been discovered to be engaging in anti-party activities at the Presidency by making unmerited cases for the embattled Governor Adeleke,” the statement read.
Olabisi alleged that these individuals were leveraging their connections with President Bola Tinubu to promote Adeleke at the federal level while sidelining the APC in Osun.
He warned that if they do not desist from these actions, the party would publicly expose them as saboteurs.
“As much as we cannot choose the friends for those who are guilty of these identified anti-party activities, it behoves on those who are affected to steer clear of the state or risk being publicly labelled as the enemies of the APC in our dear state,” he added.
Olabisi further warned that any APC chieftain supporting Adeleke financially or otherwise to the detriment of the party would be held accountable.
He reaffirmed the strength of Osun APC, insisting that it remains solid and vibrant, and vowed not to allow any party member to misrepresent Adeleke as ‘a good boy’ to Tinubu.
