The Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, on Wednesday, unveiled a 256-member Campaign Council ahead of the September 21 governorship election.
The campaign council is headed by former governor Adams Oshiomhole, now the senator representing Edo North at the National Assembly.
A statement on Wednesday by Edo APC acting Chairman, Jarrett Tenebe, also named Senator Matthew Urhoghide as the Campaign Council Director-General, and Joe Ugheoke as Secretary.
A member of the House of Representatives, Peter Akpatason, was named the Deputy Director-General of Operations while Mike Onolememen was named the Deputy Director-General of Administration.
Also in the campaign council are Chief Lucky Imasuen, Odi Okogie and Abu Lawani, who were named as the coordinators for Edo South, Edo Central, and Edo North, respectively.
Although the inauguration date for the 256-member Campaign Council had not yet been set, Tenebe said, “The composition of the council reflects a meticulous effort to ensure comprehensive representation of APC’s diverse and dedicated members.”
