Governor Malam Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has invited the public to scrutinise his performance based on the promises he made during his election campaign.
The Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Bala Ibrahim, made the call while speaking at a press conference to mark his one year in office held at Manpower Development Institute, MDI, Dutse.
He said the present administration had a focus and guide before assuming the leadership of the state.
According to him, “Governor Umar Namadi as the10th Governor and 5th civilian Governor didn’t come into power empty headed, he already have 12 points agendas that comprised all the demand of the people of the state.
“It’s the documents that Governor Umar Namadi during his campaign sold out to the people of the state.
“This document served as a guide to all the executives and legislatures aims to demonstrate a commitment to fulfilling electoral mandates and addressing the needs of the people.”
Governor Namadi, however, advised journalists to go through the documents and assess his administration based on his promises.
“Members of the press I am advising you read through the document and judge this administration based on its campaign promises,” he stated.
The 12-point agenda plan to impact the lives and economy of the people of Jigawa State in areas such as agriculture, education, health, employment, information and communication technology, and environmental issues.
