The lawmaker representing Akoko North West Constituency 1 at the Ondo state House of Assembly, Hon. Tiamiyu Fatai Atere, has distributed empowerment materials worth millions of naira to his constituents.
The 100 beneficiaries who were selected from the 10 political wards in the constituency received vehicles, motorcycles, cash gifts and other empowerment items.
Speaking during the event, the lawmaker explained that the gesture was necessitated by his resolve to give back to society as a leader, adding that the empowerment items would help in no small measures to the advancement of the area.
Atere noted that during his campaign in 2023, he promised to improve the standard of living of the people through his programmes and legislative activities in the House of Assembly.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker commended the Minister of Interior, Hon Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his efforts to add value to the people, saying the minister has impacted his political career positively in the last few years.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the APC in Akoko North West local government, Hon. Kehinde Obanla, commended the lawmaker for his untiring efforts to the people in the last year.
He noted that politicians elected under the platform of the party had continued to perform well across the state and the country at large, calling on the people to support the party and its candidate, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa towards achieving victory in the November 16 governorship election.
Other leaders present at the event include Chief Ologundudu, Alhaji Adeyemi aka Dona, Chief Ojokunle, Chief Bayode Malomo, Hon. Tanimola Emmanuel Bolaji, All the Ward Chairmen in Akoko North West Constituency 1 and All Ward Executive in Erusu/Ikaram Ward 10 among others.
