Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has commended the governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, for appointing a Yoruba man, Mr Adebayo Oyeyinka, as Permanent Secretary in the state civil service.
Oluwo described the governor as an exposed and detribalized Nigerian whose conduct has further cemented the unity and oneness of the country.
He called on other leaders to emulate the unification gestures of Governor Soludo, who has dedicated himself to strengthening Nigeria.
The commendation statement by Oluwo, through his press secretary, Alli Ibraheem, reads, “I’m impressed with the appointment of a Yoruba man, Mr Adebayo Oyeyinka, as Permanent Secretary at the Anambra State Civil Service.
The Governor of Anambra State, Prod. Chukwuma Soludo has demonstrated his exposure and convinced us to be a detribalized Nigerian leader.”
“He has made a remarkable history similar to Lagos State when the current President, Ahmed Tinubu, was the governor of the state. Only an exposed leader who values and celebrates meritocracy does that. This step is a further assurance of a better Nigeria.”
“Another fellow who trusts in one Nigeria is Prof. Soludo. All leaders should speak about their actions in promoting Nigeria. I called myself Emir for the Hausa community in Iwo and Igwe for Igbo. I was equally the first monarch to patronise a Nigerian Innoson vehicle made by an Igbo man.”
“I want to further beseech the federal government to allow Nigerians, irrespective of their tribe, to use the certificate of origin wherever they reside. allowing such will cement our togetherness.”
