He maintained that the passing of the first-class monarch was a shock to him because he spoke with him on Saturday on video from his base in the United Kingdom, not knowing that will be the last time. This is to drive home the fact that life is transient
He however noted everyone must take it that death is an inevitable end to all mankind.
Abidikugu said the late Olubadan lived a decent life and contributed not only to the development of Ibadan land but the entire country being a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“The late Olubadan was an intellectual, a great politician, eloquent and cerebral in his thoughts and actions. As a senator he contributed greatly to the constitutional development of our country.
“As the Olubadan of Ibadan land, his tenure marked progress, development and peace”, Abidikugu who is a Nigerian United Kingdom based Psychiatric Consultant said in the statement.
“I spoke with him on Saturday on video from my base in the United Kingdom, not knowing that will be the last time. This is to drive home the fact that life is transient”
He commiserated the late Olubadan’s family, adding that said the Ibadan people should take solace in the fact that the late Olubadan’s reign though short but witnessed immense developments and peace in the entire Ibadan land.
He said the fact that the late Olubadan passed on during the Holy month of Ramadan is a sign that Allah has already granted him Aljannah fridaous.
