As part of their resolve to further develop their alma mater, members of the 1991 set of Community Grammar School, Kudeti, have delivered the renovated library to the school.
Library Prefect, 1991 set, Alhaji Taofeek Akanni, while speaking during the handing over ceremony of the project recently said the class of 1991 of the school has been at the forefront of making sure that the school is transformed into a reference point among its peers.
Akanni, noted that the set believes that the library is an integral part of the school as it is capable of shapening the lives of the students who make judicious use of it.
He said: “The library is very important and that is the reason we chose to make it attractive to students so that they can make use of it to study and equip themselves with knowledge they will be needing to better their future.”
Also speaking, Head Boy of the class of 1991, Dr Sunday Akin Akinyele, charged the students to remain focused and face their academic squarely in order for them to be great in life.
He said: “Explore what you are capable of doing and not engage in what may not be profitable at the end of the day. Also, you must be compassionate, for instance if your friend does not have a pen and you have spare one, endeavour to borrow him or her, by doing this, you are building your future together.”
While listing what the Class of 1991 has been able to do for the school, the project coordinator, Olusola Ezekiel Ojetokun, noted that aside the renovation and equipping the school library, the set had succesfully procured school uniforms for some students in the school, purchased of brand new Laser jet printer, evacuation of the school septic tank amongst others.
In her reaction, the school principal, Mrs Felicia Adegbenro, thanked the old students for their support thus far, while assuring them that the renovated library will be put to judicious use and will be well maintained.
